GLENDALE – Get ready to howl to the moon! The Arizona Coyotes are proud to announce that the team has partnered with local favorite Grand Canyon Brewing Company to create Kachina Throwback Ale.

Kachina Throwback Ale, an approachable light beer that is equal parts crisp, refreshing and flavorful, will be available in stores, restaurants and Gila River Arena in fall 2019. The can design draws heavily from the look of the Arizona Coyotes’ classic Kachina jerseys.

“We are very excited to partner with Grand Canyon Brewing Company to introduce Kachina Throwback Ale to our fans this season,” said Coyotes’ President & CEO Ahron Cohen. “Kachina Throwback Ale tastes great and we’re confident that our fans will love this beer as much as they love our Kachina jerseys.”

“Here at Grand Canyon Brewing Company, we have been over the moon about our partnership with the Arizona Coyotes since it began in the 2018-2019 season,” said Alexander Phillips, Director of Sales and Marketing at Grand Canyon Brewing Company. “Their organization embodies many of the same principles as our own, with a focus on community involvement, education and the appreciation of our beautiful copper state.”

Kachina Throwback Ale is now widely available in 12 oz. cans sold in 6-packs in retail stores including Albertsons, Safeway and Total Wine. The beer will also be available in select restaurants, including Brass Tap, Ice Den and Angry Crab locations. Fans can grab a six pack to watch Coyotes away games on FOX Sports Arizona or grab a pint at Gila River Arena during the 2019-20 NHL season. The beer is currently available at Grand Canyon Brewing Company’s Williams, Ariz. brewery, tap house and restaurant.

A portion of proceeds from the sales of Kachina Throwback Ale will benefit the Arizona Coyotes Foundation, the team’s nonprofit benefitting first responders, veterans and children’s charities.

Grand Canyon Brewing Company is the official craft beer partner of the Arizona Coyotes. The team chose to work with Grand Canyon because of the brand’s reputation for making light, flavorful beer – perfect for hockey fans.
